Ligne de Mire is a Consulting Agency from Brittany (North-East of France). It was created more than 10 years ago and is now a major and well-recognized company in France.

I was assigned by Paul & Malo to work on their logotype and webdesign. Previous logo can be seen below.

It was created more than 10 years ago and seemed clearly outdated, especially the colorimetry. I first focused on the logogram.

"Ligne de Mire" literally means "line of sight" or "line of fire". The previous logo reflected more a pyramidal shape than a line of sight. Below is the evolution I worked on in order for the logotype to better convey these ideas of scope and sight.

Final result of the logogram.

As for the typography, the free for commercial use "Diavlo" was chosen, for its nice yet sophisticated curves. It was used for the brand name and headlines on stationaries.

Here's the final logotype :

Variations

Ligne de Mire offers four differents services that were re-segmented during rebranding :
- Audit & Conseil : Audit & Consulting
- Ressources Humaines : Human Resources
- Management de qualité : Quality Management
- Communication : Communication

Here are the variants, each using a specific colorimetry :

WEBSITE
Next step was their website design.

Efficience is an accounting firm located in Chateaugiron, Britanny (North-East of France). It was previously named Cabinet Didier Henry from the merging between Didier Henry companies and Audit Partenariat Conseils in 2003. Below is the previous logotype.

In 2011, a new change occured to their naming, consequence of their expansion and recent entry of shareholders to the capital. "Efficience" brings a more global vision to their clients and reflects more effectively their core values.

Such a change implied a necessity for them to work on their identity. I was assigned by Paul & Malo to work on their logotype.

Main values they wanted to reflect were the following :
Movement, fluidity, conviviality, customer support, future & development.
They offer personalized service and support customer on the long-term. They also emphasized the importance of their advice & consultancy service.

I started fetching some ideas, mindmapping and crossing concepts on paper. I wanted to create an iconic element reflecting the idea of a business angel, growth and development, keeping in mind the core keyword "movement".

My researches dragged me towards the concept of a bird, ensuring conviviality & movement. It also conveyed the eye-watching element & protection, an angel-bird watching your business from above, seeing & fixing obstacles on the long term.

Below is one of the concepts that were presented.

An other symbolic I explored was the arrow, obvious to reflect the ideas of future, financial development and customer support. My goal was here to provide a minimalist and memorizable logotype to present "Efficience" as a stable, trust-worthy company.

Below is one version of this concept.

From the two concepts, they really liked the idea of a bird-like logotype and wanted me to dig a bit more this concept.
I then worked on a similar drawing, this time trying to simplify it and use more plain colors (for adaptability) and convey a more humanised version of a business-angel.

Sketching can be seen below.

And the final result.

Colorimetry applied :

Business Card

Efficience doesn't have a website yet but will likely set it up soon.

This company is a notarial office located in Chateaugiron, Britanny (North-East of France), as its name clearly identifies it. They provide great notaries working mainly on Asset Management and Real Estate.

They had no logotype when they asked Paul & Malo to work on their visual identity. I was thus assigned to design their logotype from scratch.

The preliminary inquiry revealed some interesting values they wanted to be reflected through the logo : safety of transactions, authenticity, confidence and reliability. They also and especially wanted to stand out and differentiate themselves from the classic french notarial identities which most of the time used the Marianne or a Calligraphical transposition of the name.

After mindmapping my ideas and trying to conceptualize what would best reflect their domain of expertise, I sketched two prototypes.

The first one was a clever association between the quill, symbolic for notaries, and a perspective perception of a building, to reflect their main activity. Final prototype can be seen below

Perspective of the building was created simply by using an hexagonal shape with two plains close colors. The quill was then added in a subtle way. It let people's perceptions guide whether they wanted to see the building, the quill or both. Stability & security was ensured by the hexagonal shape.

This prototype was not selected. The second was. Here I wanted to still keep the Real Estate element but this time combined with the strict respect of the law they apply every day. I immediatly thought of a minimal representation of books piled up. To this, I twisted it a little to add more dynamism, without breaking down the global stability of the logotype. Below is the sketch I used to create it.

And the final result

To ensure adaptability and flexibility, variations were created.

Colorimetry

Too bad all they needed for now was a single logotype, I sure would have liked to work on their global visual identity.

Maxime Fredon is a self-taught painter. He's been practising various techniques for years and now creates very unique painting.
He asked me if I could help him develop a clean identity which could at the same time be professional and reflect some aspects of himself as a painter.

Research started based on his paintings, one of which can be seen below.

We then focused on the only element that was recurrent in all of his work, his signature.

Next step was naturally sketching, focusing on whether we worked on "Max" or only "M". Decision was made to simplify it and use only the letter "M" in order for it to be used as a logotype, see below

Below you can see the final result of the logotype and its typography, based on a sans-serif small-caps

Final step was to create and print business cards, using a 350gr/m stock paper and selective foil on both sides

Last stationay he needed was an A3 Poster to use whenever he was exposing his paintings. It needed to be quite simple and could be used anytime without modifications, i.e. dates, places etc..

Below is the final result and some close-ups
